variable regime means the amount of water changes over the year

What are the Spanish archipelagos?
The two main Spanish archipelagos are the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.
• There are five main islands in the Balearic Islands. The coastline is uneven with
cliffs and lots of coves.
• There are seven main islands in the Canary Islands. The coastline has many
mountains and cliffs. The highest peak of Spain is located on the island of
Tenerife; it’s a volcano called Teide.
