EXCRETORY SYSTEM

Our excretory system helps us our bodies to get rid of excess water and waste products.

SPANISH: Nuestro sistema escretor ayuda a nuestro cuerpo a deshacerse del exceso de agua y sustancias de desecho.

The blood goes through the kidneys. The kidneys remove excess water and waste products from the blood and turns them into urine.

SPANISH: La sangre se dirige a los riñones. Los riñones eliminan el exceso de agua y sustancias de desecho de la sangre y la transforman en orina.

The ureters are long tubes where the urine goes down to the bladder.

SPANISH: Los uréteres son tubos largos por lo que la orina se dirige a la vejiga.

The bladder is like a bag. It collects the urine. When it is full it sends messages to our brain. It is time to go to the toilet.

SPANISH: La vejiga es como una bolsa. Reúne la orina. Cuando está llena envía mensajes a nuestro cerebro. Es hora de ir al baño.

The urethra is a short tube. Urine goes down here and leaves our body when we go to the toilet.

SPANISH: La uretra es un tubo corto. La orina abandona nuestro cuerpo por aquí cuando vamos al baño.
