WHAT TERRITORIES FORM SPAIN?
Most of Spain is located on the Iberian Peninsula, north of the Tropic of Cancer.
Spain has two archipelagos, the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea and
the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, two cities in North Africa,
Ceuta and Melilla, form part of Spain.
SPANISH: La mayor parte de España se encuentra en la Península Ibérica, en el norte del Trópico de Cáncer. España tiene dos archipiélagos: las Islas Baleares en el Mar Mediterráneo y las Islas Canarias en el Océano Atlántico. Además, dos ciudades del norte de África, Ceuta y Melilla, forman parte de España.

France and Andorra border Spain to the north. Portugal borders Spain to the
west. In the north-west,Spain has coastlines along the Atlantic Ocean and the Cantabrian
Sea. The Mediterranean Sea borders the south and east of the peninsula. The southwest of Andalucía has a coast on the Atlantic Ocean.
SPANISH: Francia y Andorra hacen frontera con España en el norte. Portugal es la frontera de España en el oeste.En el noroeste, España tiene costas a lo largo del Océano Atlántico y el Mar Cantábrico. El Mar Mediterráneo hace frontera con el sur y el este de la península. El suroeste de Andalucía tiene costa en el Océano Atlántico.

Spain has extensive mountain ranges and systems and a high central plateau. Its
average elevation is 660 metres above sea level. There are also high elevations
on some of the islands, especially the Canary Islands archipelago. The highest
mountain in Spain is the Teide, in Tenerife.
SPANISH: España tiene numerosas cordilleras y sistemas y una gran meseta central. Su altitud media es de 660 metros por encima del nivel del mar. También hay grandes elevaciones en algunas islas, especialmente en el archipiélago de las Islas Canarias. La montaña más alta de España es el Teide, en Tenerife.
