 WHAT IS THE EARTH'S STRUCTURE?

The Earth is a sphere , but it’s not a perfect sphere. It’s flatter at the North Pole and South Pole. SPANISH: La Tierra es esférica, pero no es una esfera perfecta. Está más plana por el Polo Norte y el Polo Sur.

The Earth’s structure can be divided into three parts: SPANISH: La estructura de La Tierra se puede dividir en tres partes. Atmósfera, hidrosfera y geosfera.

Atmósfera (el aire), geosfera (la tierra), hidrosfera (el agua) y biosfera (la vida)

• The atmosphere is the air that surrounds the planet. SPANISH: La atmósfera es el aire que rodea el planeta.

 • The hydrosphere is all the water on the planet. SPANISH: La hidrosfera es todo el agua que hay en el planeta.

• The geosphere is rocky and made up of the crust, the mantle and the core. 

• The hard surface is the crust. Under the crust there is a layer of liquid rock called the mantle. At the centre of the Earth is the core.
