REPRODUCTION

The process of reproduction

The process of reproduction allows us to have offspring similar to ourselves.

SPANISH: La reproducción nos permite tener descendencia similar a la nuestra.

People have sexual reproduction. This means a male and a female have to come together to reproduce. Because of this, children usually look like their mother and father, although they are different to both of them.

SPANISH: Los seres humanos nos reproducimos sexualmente. Esto significa que un hombre y una mujer deben unirse para reproducirse. Debido a esto, los niños suelen parecerse a sus padres físicamente, aunque ellos sean diferentes de ellos.

The organs of reproduction

Male reproductive organs and female reproductive organs are different. These organs are develop during the stage of adolescence.

SPANISH: Los orgános reproductores masculinos y femeninos son diferentes. Estos órganos se desarrollan durante la adolescencia.

Pregnacy

The baby develops and become larger inside the mother's uterus. This period is called pregnacy and lasts about nine months.

SPANISH: El bebé se desarrolla y se hace más grande dentro del útero de la madre. Este periodo se llama embarazo y dura alrededor de nueve meses.

The baby receives food and oxygen from the mother. It grows and transform. Its shape changes and its organs develop, until it is ready to be born and live outside its mother uterus.

SPANISH: El bebé recibe comida y oxígeno procedente de su madre. Crece y se transforma. Cambia de forma y desarrolla sus órganos, hasta que está preparado para nacer y vivir fuera del útero de su madre.

The newborn baby

Newborn babies need constant attention and care from their parents. They drink their mother's milk or artificial milk from a bottle. Babies cry to express themselves, and they depend on their parents for everything.

SPANISH: El bebé recién nacido necesita atención constante y cuidado de sus padres. Bebe leche materna o leche artificial de un biberón. Los bebés lloran para expresars y dependen completamente de sus padres para todo.
